Alexander Shorokhoff, Wristwatch automatic red
KANDY GUILLOCHE
Model "Kandy" was dedicated to the most famous Russian avant-gardist Wassily Kandinsky. He possessed exceptional pictorial intelligence and had a keen sense of color and form. He assigned deeper meanings and associations to colors, describing, for example, the color blue as "soft" and "aromatic", while the color yellow was "sharp" and "pungent". Furthermore, he assigned certain shapes to certain colors: for example, he imagined red as a square.
These shapes and colors are also used by A. Shorokhov in his latest creation. The dials are square as well as three-dimensional guilloché. On the back of the case, four round glasses in red, blue and yellow are installed, which are the most important colors in avant-garde art.
A modern angular case shape was chosen to match.
The corners are rounded and milled on the sides to fill the resulting recesses with high-quality Italian enamel by heating.
In order to apply the enamel evenly around the case, the middle part is produced without feet. They are welded to the bottom of the case. A genuine alligator leather strap in red with engraved solid stainless steel buckle enhances the overall look.
