Jochen Pohl

Some people inherit twice the love of jewelry.

Jochen Pohl was born in 1969 in Idar-Oberstein, the world-famous capital of engravers and grinders of precious stones. He also completed an apprenticeship at his father's goldsmiths and spent his time as a journeyman at a Spanish court jeweler in Palma. In 1996, he created his first own collection, with which he delighted renowned jewelers across the globe.

Idar-Oberstein, the village which slumbers somewhere between the wine-growing Moselle, Rhine and Nahe regions, is where many of the best rough gemstones from the remotest regions and mines in the world are processed. And the selection of beautiful, unusual stones could hardly be any greater than it is here.

For Jochen Pohl, the very beginning is the stone, which is cut and polished according to his instructions. And with each stone begins the story of a new piece of jewelry. Each individual piece is created in his workshop in Idar-Oberstein at the skilled hands of his employees. Only a perfect piece may bear the hallmark "Pohl".
