Wendt & Kühn
Angels and figurines made from wood
They are truly heart-warming, with their round faces, curls and childlike design. They are lucky charms, comforters and mementos – the famous wooden angels and figurines from Wendt & Kühn. For almost 100 years, enthusiasts and collectors have been enjoying the little works of art from Grünhainichen, which is located in the Erzgebirge mountains. Whether it’s the characteristic angel with eleven white dots on its little wings, the lovely Marguerite Angel or the Blossom Kinder – the imaginative creatures tell a magical story for every season and festivity.
Angel Musicians
Angel Orchestra
The Angel Orchestra is one of Wendt & Kühn’s most famous motifs. In 1923, the history of the world-famous angel manufactory began with an angel with a flute and a violin player. In the meantime, there’s no instrument the Grünhainichen angels can’t play. From the harp, to the violin, all the way to the drum, there are numerous musical variations waiting to be discovered.
Flower children and friends
Cute spring heralds
A girl with a wreath of flowers in her hair holds up a four-leaf clover, a boy with hat and bag holds onto a daffodil with both hands – lovingly and uniquely designed, no two Blossom Kinder are alike.
Miscellaneous
For Angels and Blossom children
Figures, music boxes, wall clocks, each small work of art is lovingly crafted by hand. With fine strokes of a brush, the Angel Mountains become a bright meadow of flowers or a blue sky.
In the heart of the Erzgebirge mountains lies Grünhainichen, where wood art has a long tradition.
