Dance into spring
With the reissue of the music box, a small music box whose figures are actually ‘in motion’ returns to the range after many years. In countless hours of tinkering, has succeeded in not only accommodating a musical mechanism in the tin body in a very small space, but also a ‘turning mechanism’ that allows the turntable to rotate. Grete Wendt designed the music box before 1934. Even then, painting the distinctive diamond pattern on the body of the box was a highly skilled craft. And even today, it still requires great skill to paint the 48 yellow diamonds and 96 green triangles
