Lovers don't have to travel to Antarctica to enjoy the trio, the penguins waddle straight to their homes with their large yellow board feet. Their black and grey plumage looks fluffy and soft thanks to the translucent painting. The creative icing on the cake is probably the rotating head of the large and medium-sized penguin, which allows them to look furtively to one side or cheekily to the other. Olly Sommer, later Wendt, designed the group of figures - along with many other animal figures - between 1922 and 1925 and left behind an imaginative design that is still enchanting today.
